This PTA publication includes PISD, Hightower, and PTA information,
as well as teacher information, class lists, and address and phone numbers
of Hightower families who have given their written consent.
A directory is given to each PTA member’s household. Hooray
for Hightower:
A back-to-school event prior to the first day of school sponsored
by the PTA. This event
provides Hightower families an opportunity to meet the teachers, purchase
spirit wear, yearbooks and more. Parents
have an opportunity to join PTA and learn about many of the
programs/events offered by the Hightower PTA. Publicity: The Publicity Committee publishes the “Hightower Highlights” and “Tiger Talk” newsletters. These are sent home in the YO (Youngest/Only) packets each Thursday. This committee provides weekly updates of activities on the school marquee, submits press releases to area newspapers, and maintains this website. Hightower
Highlights:
A monthly publication which provides a variety of PTA and
school-related information. Hightower Highlights is sent home with the youngest student
in each family, the last Thursday of each month. Tiger
eNews:
ENews is sent to families who have signed up to receive Hightower
Elementary news briefs through Plano ISD eNews listserv (http://elist.pisd.edu/login.php). Tiger
Talk:
This is a weekly PTA publication, which provides a calendar and
brief summaries of information on upcoming events.
The Tiger Talk goes home in the Thursday YO packets. Website: The PTA website is updated weekly to keep the Hightower community abreast of upcoming events and programs. YO
Packets:
The YO (Youngest/Only) packet is sent home with the youngest or
only child of each family on Thursdays.
This packet includes PTA and school information. |
