Parent Education: A series of informational parent education programs are offered throughout the year for the Hightower community. Mark your calendars for our upcoming education series. Department Helping Children Learn to Handle Competition presented by
Practical Parent Education Rachel McDonald, Parent Education Chairman, parent-ed@HightowerPTA.org We invite you to take advantage of classes available from Practical Parent Education. The Practical Parent Education Program (PPE) is a unique partnership between the Plano community and Plano ISD. The program is designed to provide support, resources and parenting skills for all parents in the community as they navigate the challenges and joys of child-rearing. PPE offers parenting classes in schools and other locations throughout the community, targeting all levels of development. Special focus series are also offered in areas such as parenting children with attention deficits, strong-willed temperaments, giftedness and more. Here is a sampling of free one-time classes and coffees:

These programs are hosted by the Plano ISD Council
of PTAs. All programs start around 11:00am on the dates listed. They’re
held at the Plano ISD Administration Building on 2700 W. 15th Street
(slightly east of Independence) in the Board Room on the 1st Floor. January 23, 2007 If you develop a solid foundation based upon strong
